Conservation

We exist to protect open spaces that meet the needs of all life.

We work for the community, and the connections we make magnify our impact. Together, we can make great things happen. Together, we can accomplish more.

Sustainability

Our mission is forever, which means we must be responsible stewards of our finances, resources, and the land we have been entrusted to care for, forever

Purposeful

Our work is guided by science and community needs. From our programs to our policies, our work is intended to have meaningful, long-lasting impacts on the community, biodiversity, and climate resilience.

Fallbrook Land Conservancy is guided by a volunteer Board of Directors and managed by a talented Executive Director and staff who oversee daily operations, land stewardship, and community programs.

FLC’s professional staff are hired based on experience and qualifications in fields such as conservation, land stewardship, education, and nonprofit management. They carry out the daily work of protecting, restoring, and maintaining the Conservancy’s preserves, as well as coordinating volunteers, educational programs, and outreach efforts.

Board members are nominated and elected by the existing board, often from within the community of members, volunteers, and professionals who share a passion for conservation. Directors bring expertise in areas like land management, ecology, education, finance, and community engagement. Each serves a set term and helps guide the Conservancy’s mission, strategic planning, and oversight.

Together, the staff and board form a collaborative team — combining community leadership with professional stewardship to keep Fallbrook’s natural lands thriving.
